 Mike
Watts is a native of Burke County. He attended Catawba Valley Community
College, where he received a degree in Information Systems, and Gardner
Webb University, where he earned a degree in Business Management. Mike
was President/CEO at Premiere Manufacturing until 1995, when he
left to form Cybersource Services, Inc., a diversified sales and
marketing firm. In 1998, he formed Premiere Properties/GMAC Real Estate,
a full service real estate company in Morganton. He holds many real
estate industry professional designations including CRS (Certified
Residential Specialist), CRB (Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager),
e-PRO (Certified Internet Real Estate Professional), and GRI (Graduate
Realtor Institute). He was named Burke County REALTOR of the year in
2001 and 2002. He was voted Burke’s Best Real Estate agent in 2003. Mike
was President of the Burke County MLS in 2001 and 2002 and is a member
of the Medallion Club and a Premier Service Diamond Award winner. Mike
served Burke County as Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Board. He was
the 2006 and 2009 Burke County Chamber of Commerce Chairman. He is the
2010 Chairman of the Burke County Partners for Economic Development
Board. Mike serves as 2nd Vice President of the Western Piedmont Community
College Foundation. Mike and his wife, Kim, live at Lake James and have
two grown children, Natalie and Neil. They have two grandchildren, Chase
and Ava. Hiking, boating, spending time with his grandkids, and reading
are his favorite leisure activities.
